Description:
The three-day camp, June 18-20, Medieval Marvels weaves medieval history, basic scientific principles, and hands-on creativity through the challenges of each day. Club members discover how everyday inventiveness existed even in a time of limited literacy and schooling. Developed by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Club Invention provides an interactive experience by using inquiry-based learning. Club members participate in hands-on activities where they can role play as well as design, build, create, and explore. The Club curriculum will be supplemented with artifact handling, books, video, and visits to the Spurlock Museum's gallery of European cultures. This program is open to students entering grades 3 through 6 in fall 2008. The camp fee is $70. Register by June 6. Registration is non-refundable after that date. For more information:
