It is a great time to start thinking about your emotional health and learn ways to ease the additional stress this time of year can create, especially with economic uncertainty. Join Patricia Carlson, LCSW as she acquaints participants with the newer short-term therapies for reducing internal stresses and how these techniques can be used for emotional "first-aid." Cost $25; includes handouts. Topics include: The 5-minute phobia cure; TFT - tapping on meridian points for the quick relief of fear, anger and sadness; EMDR - eye movement for the integration of the right and left brain to access and clear emotional pain; How to improve your relationships with healing dialogue. Carlson received her master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago and has trained in a number of modalities since, including Imago Relationship Therapy, Inner Child work, EMDR, Thought Field Therapy, TAT, Psych-K. She is also a certified Parent Effectiveness and Teacher Effectiveness Training instructor. Patricia has practiced counseling and therapy for over 30 years, working with individuals, groups, couples, children and families.
