How to Get Started in Beekeeping

Description:

Now is the time to begin thinking about gathering your beekeeping supplies and equipment for next spring. This workshop will acquaint would be apiarists with what they will need to get started and what will be required to maintain honey bee hives. Get two different perspectives from the presenters Mark Hoffman and Julie Larsen. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his 20 years of beekeeping and Julie is a new beekeeper who will discuss the trials and tribulations of starting her hives. Time at the end of the workshop to learn how to put together hive frames with foundation so bring a small hammer with you. Cost $35; includes handouts.
