Coach Bruce Weber will be signing items to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer®, an initiative that invites basketball fans to join with their local coach in the fight against cancer. Individuals are encouraged to bring their favorite Fighting Illini memorabilia or purchase t-shirts or other items on site. Weber will autograph items, for a $5 per item donation, to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer® Copies of Weber's book will also be available for a $10 donation, which will be given to Coaches vs. Cancer. NewsTalk 1400 WDWS, with host Brian Barnhart, will interview Weber and broadcast the program live from Gameday Spirit. Weber will sign autographs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gameday Spirit, located at the corner of Sixth and Green. All proceeds will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer. Coaches vs. Cancer unites the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches in the fight against cancer.
