Presented by the The Center for Children's Services' student program Cafe on the Lawn from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, on the Center's front lawn. Evening of fun, music, and fine dining. The Café on the Lawn is serving Jamaican jerk chicken and pork, Memphis smoked pork loin with a tangy Nashville barbecue sauce, and Hawaiian steak kabobs, with "dirty rice," seasoned grilled vegetables and pineapple sherbet. In addition, Angus burgers, Polish dogs, and hot dogs will be available. A variety of desserts as well. To order ahead, call 819-0564. Variety of live music this year. Two groups, River Dance fiddlers and a Knight Fire Percussion, featuring café workers will be playing from 5 to 6 p.m.; Doc Ashton and the Root Canals from 6 to 8 p.m. while customers relax on the front lawn. Regular Café hours: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The last day to enjoy the 2009 Café on the Lawn is Friday, July 31.
