Description:

Feb. 5 and March 4. At 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on both dates. "Funding Your Children's Education With 529 College Savings Plans." Learn more about how a 529 College Savings Plan can help you prepare for your child's college expenses. These flexible investment tools offer you control of the assets, tax-free asset accumulation and federal-tax-free withdrawals for qualified expenses. (These tax benefits are effective through 2010 unless extended by Congress.) Please consider the plan's investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses carefully before investing. The plan's official statement should be read carefully before investing. State tax deductions and state-tax-free withdrawals are limited only to residents of states that allow these benefits. These state tax benefits may have an impact on your federal taxes. It's important to consult your tax advisor regarding your particular situation. Withdrawals for nonqualified purposes will trigger a 10 percent IRS penalty on your earnings, as well as regular taxes. 529 plan values will fluctuate with market conditions, and you may receive more or less than your original investment when it is redeemed. Call Brian Watson at the office for information.
