In a continuing effort to promote service learning in the Decatur community, Richland Community College will exhibit student artwork at the Lincoln Square Theatre, Friday, May 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The exhibit will be juried by RCC Art Appreciation instructor, Diana Manning. Ribbons for best in show, first, second and third place overall will be awarded. Diana will give a brief artist's talk at 7pm, and awards will be announced at that time. The four pieces receiving ribbons will be donated to the Heritage House, in an effort to display artwork in the Decatur area and bring awareness to the talent present at RCC. Please join us in celebrating the RCC art program! The event is free and open to the public, with information available for enrollment in RCC classes and light refreshments served.
