URBANA — Urbana High School is hosting its 41st annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner for community members.
The meal is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in the high school's Commons and will feature turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce and pie.
No reservations are required.
URBANA — The indoor Holiday Market at Lincoln Square Village will begin Saturday and continue for five more Saturday mornings through Dec. 15.
All items sold at the market — which runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. — are to be home-grown, baked or crafted within Illinois, said Shannon Beck, events coordinator for the Urbana Business Association.
URBANA — Northbrook-based KemperSports has been chosen by The Atkins Group to manage Stone Creek Golf Club in Urbana.
KemperSports operates golf facilities as well as athletic clubs, lodging venues and major sporting events.
CHAMPAIGN — Tickets are still available for a day of healthy eating events with British comic cook Jon Ashton.
The Liverpool-raised chef will perform a live cooking show from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 14 as part of his Dash Around The Table Tour.
He is also talking about childhood obesity.

CHAMPAIGN — The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will visit Champaign on Thursday, stopping at the County Market store at 2901 W. Kirby Ave., C, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Oscar Mayer has been using the giant hot dog on wheels as a promotional attraction since 1936.
The Wienermobile has gone through many redesigns — and even a retirement — since then.
PAXTON — Ever since Silvia Rodriguez and her husband, Nahum, bought Paxton's longest-operating restaurant several years ago, the need for more space in the small downtown cafe was apparent.
CHAMPAIGN — Victor and Ezequiel "Sammy" Fuentes plan to open a tequila bar and grill in the former Carmon's building in downtown Champaign.
"If everything goes well, it will open in about six weeks," Victor Fuentes said, adding he hopes to close on the purchase of the building at 415 N. Neil St., C, this week.
