Old National promotes Miller. Travis Miller has been promoted to assistant vice president, commercial lending, at Old National Bank, Danville.

He has been with the bank since 2001, when he started as a credit portfolio manager.

It's Your Business: Kirlin's Hallmark coming to Champaign, Danville

Folks who hated not having a local Hallmark store open for Valentine's Day can take heart.

Kirlin's Hallmark plans to open Friday — and possibly as early as Wednesday — in the former Dena's Hallmark location at Marketview Shopping Center in Champaign.

Kirlin's also plans to open a store March 8 in Danville's Towne Centre, also in a former Dena's Hallmark space.

Paul Harrington is out after five years as president and CEO of the Van Nuys, Calif.-based sports-equipment company, which is building a major assembly and distribution center in Rantoul.

Banks' settlement will mean $400,000 for UI clinic to help homeowners, tenants

CHAMPAIGN — A government settlement with five of the nation's largest banks over their role in the foreclosure crisis will fund a University of Illinois legal clinic that helps homeowners and tenants affected by foreclosure.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan visited the UI on Tuesday to announce a $403,271 grant to the College of Law's Community Preservation Clinic.
