MATTOON — The top management of First Mid-Illinois Bancshares got salary increases ranging from 3 percent to 10.8 percent last year, the company disclosed in its proxy statement this month.
But those five officers saw much larger percentage increases in total compensation, thanks to stock awards and incentive plans.
URBANA — Marvin Drennan had two days to move out of his roach-infested apartment. The balcony on the outside of his complex was in danger of collapsing, the city said, and he had to go.
"If you gotta go, you gotta go," said Drennan, who is retired now.
RANTOUL — The recent departure of two top officials with Easton-Bell Sports will not affect the construction of the facility's new shared services center going up west of Rantoul.
Diana Swartz, human resources manager, said the changes won't affect the building in any way.
"Everybody was concerned, 'What does this mean?'" Swartz said.
URBANA — The immediate past president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association told members of Champaign County Association of Realtors that they should look for more gray tones, quartz counter tops and white-painted cabinets in kitchens.

CHAMPAIGN — Aunt Millie's Bakeries, which supplies bread to stores including Meijer, has opened a branch distribution depot on Country Fair Drive in Champaign.
CHAMPAIGN — Champaign-based Pavlov Media announced Wednesday it is acquiring Shouting Ground Technologies, a local provider of managed information-technology and network-technology solutions.
Shouting Ground will keep its name and operations and stay in Champaign, according to a Pavlov release. Shouting Ground's customers should see no change in service, the release added.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — First Financial Bank has agreed to acquire seven branches and two drive-up locations in central and southern Illinois from Bank of America, First Financial announced Tuesday.
The branches are in Mattoon, Charleston, Hillsboro, Mount Vernon, Salem, Benton and West Frankfort.
