ST. JOSEPH — Champaign County sheriff's deputies are asking for help finding the person who reportedly stole a car from outside a St. Joseph bar last week and later wrecked it.
Sgt. Dan Coile said the owner of a 2011 Toyota Camry called deputies to his home in the 1500 block of Nottingham in St. Joseph about midnight on March 7 to report his car had been stolen.

DANVILLE — A 33-year-old Watseka woman's death has been ruled an accident, Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson announced Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson said an autopsy report showed that Amanda J. Walters-Pentecost died of cold exposure and that there was no evidence of any injuries.
URBANA — A 15-year-old Urbana boy who accidentally killed his toddler nephew while playing with a gun has been sentenced to juvenile prison.
Champaign County Judge Heidi Ladd said the teen, who fatally shot Mekhi Woods, 3, in the family home in the 900 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue last May 16, should be held for seven years or until his 21st birthday, whichever comes first.

RANTOUL — Police in at least three counties spent a good part of Tuesday morning trying to stop a car believed to be driven by a Rantoul man wanted on warrants.
Rantoul police Sgt. Marcus Beach said at 9:46 a.m., a Rantoul patrol officer tried to stop a yellow Chevrolet Cavalier believed to be driven by Lawrence Lillard, 30, at Oakcrest and Clark streets on the city's north side.

URBANA — A man who allegedly had drugs and a loaded weapon in his home Monday was charged in Champaign County Circuit Court Tuesday with two Class X felonies.
Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle said deputies arrested Brionte Howard, 23, after serving a search warrant in the early morning hours Monday at his home in the 1000 block of Crescent Drive in Champaign.
