URBANA — The city engineer for Champaign was sentenced Thursday to 90 days in the county jail and two years of probation after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.

URBANA — A Savoy man who admitted having more than 2 pounds of cannabis intended for sale in his home was sentenced to two years of probation.

Assistant State's Attorney Lindsey Clark said Brett Shaw, 24, of the 1200 block of Village Parkway had no prior convictions before pleading guilty Thursday before Champaign County Judge Tom Difanis to possession with intent to deliver cannabis.

URBANA — The Champaign County state's attorney's office has filed additional charges against a Champaign man arrested after he allegedly tried to bring weapons into the Assembly Hall last month.

Kenneth P. Bergman, 64, who listed an address in the 1400 block of Hollycrest Drive, was charged on Wednesday with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons by a felon.

URBANA — An uncooperative victim led to the dismissal of felony charges against a Champaign man.

Champaign County Assistant State's Attorney Troy Lozar said he dismissed charges Monday against Allen Williams, 21, who listed an address in the 1400 block of Queensway Drive, Champaign, in connection with a Jan. 11 incident in Champaign.
