DANVILLE — Danville arson investigators today are looking into two suspicious fires that broke out within about 45 minutes of each other at vacant houses early this morning.
URBANA — A Thomasboro man who allegedly molested children in his girlfriend's in-home day care center is in the Champaign County Jail.
Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle said Lyn Y. Niemann, 37, was arrested Wednesday for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony.

CHAMPAIGN — Traffic has reopened in the 100 block of East Green Street in Champaign following a water main break.
Illinois American Water worked with the city of Champaign and Broeren Russo to reopen one lane of traffic in both the eastbound and westbound lanes. The street had been closed earlier on Wednesday.

CAMARGO — Two teenagers were reported injured in a single-vehicle accident in rural Douglas County late Tuesday afternoon.
Douglas County Chief Deputy Peter Buckley said that a 16-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl were in a vehicle that crashed into a tree at 675 N County Road 1760 E, south of Camargo, at about 5:24 p.m. Tuesday.
URBANA — A Rantoul man has been sentenced to 24 months of probation after he pleaded guilty to unlawful video recording.
Davien Emling, 24, who listed an address in the 1100 block of Falcon Drive, pleaded guilty last week to one count of unlawful video recording.
URBANA — A Champaign man who pleaded guilty in three different Champaign County criminal cases Tuesday has been sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison.
Jordan U. Johnson, 22, who listed an address in the 1000 block of North James Street, pleaded guilty to attempted solicitation to commit bribery, aggravated unlawful use of weapons and indecent solicitation of a child.
URBANA — An Urbana man who shot another man twice last June during a robbery attempt was sentenced Tuesday to the maximum 30 years in prison.
The sentencing hearing for Ardis Fenn, 24, lasted fewer than 10 minutes and was the antithesis of the dramatic events last month surrounding Fenn's trial, including the murder of the man who was Fenn's victim in June.
