CHAMPAIGN — The Champaign school district is hosting an open house at the Central High School College and Career Center next week.
The open house is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 218 at Central High School, 610 W. University Ave., C.
WESTVILLE — Judith Giacoma Elementary School will hold kindergarten pre-registration later this month.
Parents and guardians may pre-register their children for kindergarten for the 2013-14 school year. Children must be 5 by Sept. 1 to enter.
CHAMPAIGN — The Illinois Federation of Republican Women is holding its spring conference, "It's Time — Republican Women," featuring Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita Garman as the keynote speaker.
URBANA — This year's CROP Hunger Walk, sponsored by several churches, will begin Sunday at Unitarian Universalist Church, 309 W. Green St., U.
Registration begins at 1:45 p.m. and the walk starts at 2 p.m.

CHAMPAIGN — Police have arrested a Champaign man in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in his burned-out Champaign apartment Friday morning.
