Money seminar set at Georgetown school
GEORGETOWN — Project Success of Vermilion County will sponsor "Money Smart Week Parent University" on April 15.
It is free and open to all families of Mary Miller Junior High School students in the Georgetown-Ridge Farm school district.
The seminar is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 15 at the school, 414 W. West St., Georgetown.

Lottery ticket sold in Tolono still unclaimed
TOLONO — Time is running out to redeem a winning Little Lotto ticket sold at a convenience store in Tolono last year.
The winning ticket, worth $50,000, was purchased at Casey's General Store on April 10, 2012. However, no one has yet come forward to claim the money.

Mother Nature bats last. And sometimes she carries a particularly big bat. About the time we think it's the last pitch of the bottom half of the last inning, we end up with an extra inning of winter. A few warm days in March and we are in the outfield admiring the green grass while Mother Nature blasts a cold one over the fence.
