All around the country this week, groups of people will be talking about and promoting a new baseball movie.
But not the one about Jackie Robinson, the revered Brooklyn Dodger who broke baseball's color barrier in 1947.
A second baseball-themed movie, opening next Friday, confronts a different social issue: abuse and dependency.

CHAMPAIGN - A person was injured in a single-car accident just west of Champaign on Interstate 72 about 9:15 p.m. Saturday.
Preliminary information from Illinois State Police was that there was only one person in the car on eastbound 72. The car reportedly left the road and hit a tree near mile marker 178, which is near Bondville.
URBANA — A Champaign man accused of fatally stabbing his mother then setting a fire to cover the death has a history of mental illness, according to court documents and police reports.
