Wisconsin has too much motivation to lose this game. The Badgers are peeved after blowing a lead at Michigan State on Tuesday and remember losses to Illinois last season (at home and in the Big Ten tournament) and earlier this season.

CHAMPAIGN – The situation didn't call for Centennial coach Susan Thomas to worry.

Her state-ranked Chargers fell behind city rival Central 7-2 early and then 13-10 after one quarter of Thursday's Big 12 Conference game at Combes Gym.

"We were not playing poorly," Thomas said. "Central was playing well."
