ST. JOSEPH – St. Joseph-Ogden's softball team won its own invite with three lopsided victories Saturday. And gave coach Randy Wolken something to complain about. Just a bit.

"We hit well for the day, not as well as we've been hitting," Wolken said.

Thomas, Vikings rebound

DECATUR – Zach Thomas had 12 strikeouts, including three against Illinois State signee Blair Rasmussen, to help Danville earn a split against Decatur MacArthur in Big 12 Conference baseball Saturday.

Tuscola cruises at home

TUSCOLA – Kurtis Kinyoun (4 for 4, five RBI) and Pat Yoakum (four RBI) each slugged home runs as Tuscola breezed past Central A&M 18-4 on Thursday.

Sullivan 11, Clinton 1. Austin Raboin had four RBI to lead the host Redskins.

CHAMPAIGN – Tyler Schweighart's three hits helped St. Thomas edge Unity 6-4 on Monday.

Miller tosses no-hitter

CHAMPAIGN – Clint Miller pitched a five-inning no-hitter, striking out six, as Champaign Central beat Decatur Eisenhower 10-0 to complete a doubleheader sweep Saturday.

The Maroons won the Big 12 opener 4-2 behind Harrison Freeland's two-run single in the fifth inning.

Palazzolo powers Sabers

WATSEKA – Andrea Palazzolo drove in three runs as St. Thomas More beat Watseka 10-2 in a Sangamon Valley Conference softball game Tuesday.
