Unity 6, Monticello 4. AUSTIN FENDER outdueled Monticello's JACOB WILLIAMS, picking up the win in a three-hit, 10-strikeout effort while pitching around four errors. The Sages made three errors behind Williams, who allowed four hits and struck out 11. CONNOR GRACE had an RBI double for the Rockets.

RANTOUL BASEBALL
The Eagles (18-8) won their first Corn Belt Conference tournament, beating a team it had lost to twice previously (Eureka) in the semifinals and then dispatching Bloomington Central Catholic in the finals as Terry Deaville and Luke Pannbacker combined to hold the Saints to two runs. Deaville earned two tourney wins.
CHAMPAIGN — The pregame bullpen session went pretty well. The curveball was moving. So was the cutter.
Still, Ryan McCuskey had no idea what was coming for him Tuesday.
The Centennial senior pitched a no-hitter, striking out eight Rantoul batters in a 5-0 win.
Unity fishermen move up
TOLONO — Unity's Rockets had the best second-day score of any of the schools competing in the fourth annual IHSA bass fishing state tournament last weekend at Lake Carlyle.
The team's second-day catches weighed in at 15 pounds, 12 ounces and enabled Unity to move from 35th place after the first day to ninth overall.

Heritage 10, St. Thomas More 0. Winning pitcher HILARY SMITH (eight strikeouts) and BRITTANY LATHAM (four RBI) each had three hits to power the visiting Hawks, who got two hits, including a solo home run, from MICAELA CHILDRESS.

Bismarck-Henning 12, Hoopeston Area 2. LEXI BALLARD had three hits and an RBI and ASHLEE RONTO added two hits and three RBI to lead the visiting Blue Devils. The Cornjerkers got two hits and an RBI from SYDNEY CLARK.

Armstrong-Potomac 3, Oakwood 2. DAVIN MILES hit a two-run single in the first inning, and WADE ROGERS' RBI single in the sixth inning broke a 2-2 tie to lift the visiting Trojans. ZACK GIRTON had two hits for Oakwood.

Argenta-Oreana 2, Monticello 1. The host Bombers got an RBI single from LOGAN SPARK in the fifth inning that proved to be the game-winner. Monticello's NICK STOKOWSKI struck out 13 in the loss, and ROSS REEDER hit a solo home run.
