DECATUR – Molly Romine hit four three-pointers en route to a game-high 22 points as Tuscola routed St. Teresa 43-24 on Wednesday to claim the consolation championship of the Okaw Valley Conference tournament. Lindsey Troike chipped in 10 points for the Warriors.
Rylee Long (21 points) and Lauren Taylor (19 points, 16 boards) paced Sullivan's 57-39 win against Clinton, which was led by Megan Mitchell's 12 points.
ARCOLA – Drew Minton (23 points) and Tim Weaver (21) sparked Cerro Gordo to a 67-37 victory against Atwood-Hammond in the first round of the Little Okaw Valley boys' basketball tournament Tuesday night. Randy Crist scored a team-high 20 points for the Rajahs.
MAHOMET – Looking to avenge an eight-point December loss to Corn Belt rival Eureka, the Mahomet-Seymour boys' basketball team instead got blindsided 66-57 Tuesday by Bradley-bound Jordan Prosser and the Hornets.
CHAMPAIGN – A quick start and a solid finish helped Champaign Central climb above .500 in Big 12 play.

So well they entered Saturday night's nonconference matchup against Peoria Richwoods with a near-flawless 18-1 record and the No. 1 ranking in the Class 3A state poll.

ARCOLA – Dan Bolsen had a game-high 25 points Saturday to help fourth-seeded Lovington earn a 53-37 win against 13th-seeded Bement in a Little Okaw Valley Conference tournament boys' basketball game.
DANVILLE – Joe Pratt heard the ominous words: No, no, no.
The Salt Fork junior wasn't discouraged.
DANVILLE – Refugio Guerrero scored a team-high 15 points to help Schlarman earn a 56-46 win against Judah Christian on Saturday in boys' basketball. Heath Goodwin was also in double figures for the Hilltoppers with 10 points.
Vinnie Miller grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds for Schlarman (7-13).
CHAMPAIGN – It was billed as the biggest showdown to date in the Big 12 boys' basketball race.
It ended as an emphatic statement by the state's top-ranked Class 3A team that it still is No. 1 in its conference, too.
CERRO GORDO – Paul Workman and Drew Minton shared the spotlight during Friday's Cerro Gordo-Arcola basketball game.
More than 30 former players and several assistant coaches were on hand during a halftime ceremony honoring Workman on his upcoming induction into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
