– JENNY HILL (50-yard freestyle, 100 butterfly) and GABI RAJIC (200 individual medley, 100 backstroke) were dual winners to lead Urbana past Danville 103-82.

– Centennial's LIZZY DOMBROSKI and Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's EMILY SPANGLER were among those who tied for seventh with a 7-over-par 81 in the Chargers' John Macek Memorial on the UI Blue Course. The Chargers' MADISON WHITE tied for 14th place after firing an 84.


Thursday's prep highlights: Spangler, LeRoy golfers shine

– EMILY SPANGLER of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley shot an 84 to win medalist honors at the Heart of Illinois Conference meet at Weibring Golf Club in Normal. LeRoy won the team title thanks to an 86 from MOLLY MARCUM, who finished second.

Wednesday's prep highlights: STM golfers victorious

Golf

– BEN DODDS and NATHANIEL KHACHATURIAN tied for second place, each shooting even-par 36 for St. Thomas More in a victory against Tri-Valley and Clinton at Stone Creek. STM's DEREK ROTH and Clinton's LOGAN WOOLRIDGE tied for fourth place at 37.


Tuesday's prep highlights: Chargers cruise to tennis win

– Centennial swept the singles matches and got doubles wins from the tandems of ALLISON HANSEN/MARIA MEARS and ANNE McNAMARA/TAYLOR BAILEY in an 8-1 victory against Normal Community.

The Hilltoppers won six of six matches for the week and, while winning team honors in their own Hilltop Tournament, didn't lose a set. Serena Calhoun led in kills, Lynzie Fields led in digs and Darrian Chrzanoski had the most assists.
