Kroner: Plenty of gifts for under the tree

Generally, I don't wait until the last minute to do things. I arrive early for the games I cover. I finish my stories before the copy editors yell to wrap it up. I mail Christmas cards within a week of Thanksgiving.

This is one deadline I will barely make.

Chat with Kroner (and listen to him, too) today!

Prep sports coordinator Fred Kroner conducts an online chat at 12:30 p.m. each Thursday. Submit questions early by clicking here — on football, East St. Louis, state cross-country, how we pick our All-Area teams, anything goes.

Just ask his players, who let their coach act like a barber earlier this season.

Black, Hunt propel Centennial golfers

SAVOY – Feeling the burn of missing the Class 2A state golf tournament by a few strokes in 2009, Peter Black and his Centennial buddies made it their mission to not come up short this time.
