URBANA — University High set a program record with its 18th soccer win, topping St. Thomas More 4-0 on Thursday. Now, the Illineks will turn their focus toward the postseason.
On Tuesday, they will play the winner of tonight's match between Unity and Judah Christian. The Rockets and Tribe squared off Thursday, with Unity coming away with a 4-1 victory.
At Danville. Bismarck-Henning's TYLER MOEWS shot a 77 to finish second and teammates JARED ANDERSON, STEPHEN KROUT and ANDY BOTT all tied for fifth, firing 79s to lead the Blue Devils (314) to a Class 1A regional title at Harrison Park. Tuscola (343) finished second thanks to medalist CAMERON WESTJOHN's 72. Blue Ridge (357) grabbed the final team spot.
FARMER CITY — Blue Ridge senior J.J. Malone became the area's all-time single-season scoring leader in boys' soccer with Monday's five-goal performance against Georgetown-Ridge Farm. He has 56 goals for the Knights (17-2-3), shattering the 1992 standard of 52 established by Danville's Travis Schofield.

Champaign Central 2, Centennial 2. When Mick Galeski promoted sophomore Tim Ham to the Champaign Central varsity last week, the Maroons coached hoped for the best.
That's exactly what he's getting from the Maroons forward.
Urbana Uni 5, Urbana 2. PATRICK WONG scored twice, and Urbana Uni pulled away in the second half. Wong's goal in the 13th minute gave the Illineks the lead for good. GEORGE VOULGARIS had three assists for Uni (16-1). TARIK KORIC, CONRAD SCHLOER and DAX EARL also scored for the Illineks. SAUL DOWNIE and MAZIN JUDEH had Urbana's goals.
At Champaign. Lexi SchweiGHart and Jaelyn Westfield each had seven blocks for Champaign Central in a 20-25, 25-20, 25-19 victory against Normal West.
At Urbana. Hannah Johlas had 20 digs and seven service aces for Urbana University High in a 21-25, 25-21, 27-25 loss to Decatur Lutheran. Jamie Blue finished with 12 kills for the Illineks (11-7).

Urbana 4, Centennial 0. Julian Threlkeld made 10 saves for the host Tigers in the Big 12 match. Urbana received a goal and an assist apiece from Miguel Fierro and Brian Lopez.
Central 4, Charleston 0. Eddie Lubaga scored twice for visiting Champaign Central, which also got a goal from Tim Ham in his first varsity match.
Monticello 3, Blue Ridge 2. JACOB HANSELMAN and BILLY NIXON scored in the second half as the Sages snapped a 1-1 halftime tie. ELI SMITH added a goal for the winners. JONATHAN MALONE had a goal and an assist for the Knights.
Unity 3, St. Thomas More 2. LOGAN CUNNINGHAM scored twice for the Rockets.
