Last year, schools such as Clinton, Danville, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, St. Thomas More and Tuscola were among the ones upset with the IHSA's postseason assignments, which are based on enrollments.
This year, Danville and Monticello are among the ones unhappy with how the enrollment breaks worked out.

CHAMPAIGN — Champaign Central senior Sam Stewart will look to add to his three career Big 12 individual titles when the conference holds its annual boys' swimming and diving meet Saturday at Unit 4 Pool at Centennial High School.
Stewart is the defending champion in the 100-yard butterfly. He also won league titles as a sophomore in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.
ST. JOSEPH — Chelsea Blaase has to work on her name recognition. The St. Joseph-Ogden senior is a well-known runner, notoriety that is fitting for a cross-country state champion.
Many of those who know her, however, associate her name with Blaze, perhaps due to the speed she possesses.

Why: The 12th-year Sages head coach directed the team to state for the third time in his tenure and the second year in a row. The third-place team finish in Class 1A was the best for the program and the school's first state trophy in any girls' sport.
