■ Centennial 13, Urbana 3. Centennial took advantage of defensive struggles by Urbana to dart out to a 10-0 lead after two innings thanks to a nine-run second inning and never looked back in a Big 12 road win during Centennial’s conference opener at Prairie Park that lasted six innings.
■ St. Joseph-Ogden 1, PBL 0. Hunter Hart struck out 14 while throwing a no-hitter, outdueling freshman Jonathon Walder to lead the Spartans to a home win. SJ-O scored the game’s lone run in the third when Josh Poulter stole two bases and reached home on Jordan Buhs’ single.

■ At Arthur. In the 11-team girls’ meet, KANDIE BLOCH-JONES of Argenta-Oreana won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 11 inches.
That mark ties the third highest in state history and sets an area record in the event that had stood for 27 years.
■ Charleston 13, Urbana 2. The visiting Tigers couldn't stop Charleston from scoring at least once in every inning of their five-inning road loss.
