PBL 9-3, Hoopeston Area 2-1. DYLAN OVERSTREET's RBI single in the seventh inning of Game 2 put the visiting Panthers in front. JIMMY QUINN had two hits in the nightcap, and TANNER HARRIS added two in the opener.

Friday's prep highlights: Boswell tosses no-hitter


St. Thomas More 5, Momence 2. JULIAN BOSWELL pitched a no-hitter, striking out 11 to spark the Sabers (16-4 overall, 8-0 Sangamon Valley). Boswell, Mike Rubenacker and Storm Joop each had two hits, Joop driving in two runs.

Centennial 7, Urbana 0. Grace Ayodele had three goals and one assist for the host Chargers, who received two goals from Katelynn Martinez. Annie Regan and Destiny Norris each notched a goal for Centennial, which tallied four goals in the first half.

Saturday's prep highlights: Brown lifts Rockets


Unity 12-13, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 0-3. KIP BROWN pitched a four-hitter in the opener for the Rockets, who banged out 10 hits. Unity collected 14 more in the nightcap, including a homer from MITCH NEGANGARD. KYLE NEGANGARD, JACOB RICE and CALEB RICE each had four hits in the doubleheader.

Thursday's prep highlights: Urbana baseball tops Central


Urbana 8, Champaign Central 1. Dylan Anderson held Central to two hits in 6 1/3 innings and struck out nine, leading the Tigers to a road victory. Gabriel Murrey-Inskeep had two doubles and two RBI for Urbana, which also received two hits apiece from Salman Khan and C. Garrett Johnson.

Wednesday's prep highlights: Peter, Lawler shine


Cerro Gordo 15, East Central 5. JOE PETER homered and RYAN LAWLER went 3 for 3 with three RBI to power the Broncos. MAX CEKANDER and KALEB KRIGBAUM added two hits apiece, the latter driving in a pair of runs. JOHN ESSIG slugged a three-run homer for the Panthers.
