Coach Keith Pogue's team won the 13-team Gene Ward Invitational in Champaign by four points. Cale McCormick (800), Jonathan Schaap (3,200) and Derek Bunch (shot put) won individual events, and the 3,200-meter relay was also triumphant.

CENTENNIAL GIRLS' SOCCER
ST. JOSEPH — Two individual records and two relay marks were broken in Friday's Spartan Classic varsity boys' track and field invitational.
In track & field
At Urbana. Jansin Garth won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and was part of two victorious relays, leading Centennial to the team title at the Twin City Championships.
Garth was clocked in 11.33 seconds in the 100 and 23.25 in the 200. He ran on the triumphant 400 and 800 relays.
CHAMPAIGN — Wednesday's Big 12 Conference girls' soccer match between Champaign Central and Centennial on the Chargers' field will help to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society. Centennial's team will wear specially made white with pink shirts while the Central squad will be outfitted in specially made pink with white shirts.

Sullivan 2, Neoga. 1. After forcing extra innings with a run in the bottom of the seventh, the Redskins scored in the eighth to pull out a home win. Josiah Davidson pitched a complete-game six-hitter for Sullivan.

Centennial 2 Mattoon 1. Zach Owens did not allow an earned run in pitching a four-hit complete game for the host Chargers (15-6). Zach Parks scored the winning run in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Drake PeraTt.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda 10, Momence 0. J.J. VALENTINE went 2 for 2 and scored twice and winning pitcher LIZ SATTERLEE tossed a one-hit shutout.
North Vermillion (Ind.) 14, Oakwood 3. ASHLEY WAHLFELDT homered for the Comets.

Monticello 8, Maroa-Forsyth 0. JACOB WILLIAMS pitched around four errors and fired a no-hitter with 18 strikeouts for the Sages. Williams (two hits), NICK STOKOWSKI (three hits) and RYAN BUNDY (two hits) all drove in two runs.

Iroquois West 3-3, Fisher 2-13. KEATON ZIRKLE had two hits in the opener and drove in the game-winning run for the Raiders. Fisher scored seven times in the fifth inning of the second game and got two hits from TATE ESTES, NICK THOMAS and LUKE HARVEY.
Bass fishing
At Clinton Lake. Monticello won Friday's sectional championship and will be joined by area schools DeLand-Weldon and Champaign Central at the IHSA Bass Fishing State Finals next month at Carlyle Lake.
