Thursday's prep highlights: Quinn sparkles for PBL

Paxton-Buckley-Loda 5, St. Thomas More 2. The host Panthers got three RBI from JIMMY QUINN while DREW SCHRODT (RBI) and JAY ESHLEMAN (run) each had a hit.

Charleston 13, Urbana 7. Salman Khan (two runs) and MICHAEL THOMPSON each had two hits and two RBI for the host Tigers.

Monday's highlights: Rantoul tops SJ-O

n Centennial 5, Olympia 2. Starting pitcher Josh Manolakes struck out five, with both runs off him unearned, to lead the Chargers (9-1) to a road win. Cully Wilson had two hits for Centennial.

n St. Thomas More 5, Central A&M 2. Braxton Parisi went 2 for 3 and Cam Deedrich drove in two runs for the Sabers in a road win.

Urbana 5, Rantoul 0. Conner Gremer pitched a no-hitter and struck out six to lead the Tigers to a road win. Tanner Russell had four hits, including a double and triple, and scored three runs for Urbana.

Friday's highlights: Stokowski shines for Sages

Monticello 7, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 4. Winning pitcher NICK STOKOWSKI struck out 11 and scattered six hits in 5 2/3 innings. JACOB WILLIAMS didn't allow a hit in earning the save.

Thursday's prep highlights: Tabeling shines for Sabers

St. Thomas More 12, Iroquois West 2. Winning pitcher Austin Tabeling (3-0) scattered four hits in his five-inning complete game at home. Tabeling went 3 for 3 with four RBI to support his cause, and teammate Storm Joop scored three runs. Sean Sullivan tripled and Mike Rubenacker doubled for the Sabers.

Tuesday's prep highlights: Unity remains unbeaten

In baseball

Unity 11, Fisher 5. CONNER GRACE (two triples), SPENCER SHUMAKER (two RBI) and SETH TOLLIVER each had three hits for the unbeaten Rockets (6-0), who got three RBI apiece from AARON LARSON and AUSTIN FENDER. Larson also struck out 10 in the win.

Parker Perrero (three RBI) and Taw Fredrickson each had two hits for the Bunnies.

Zach Parks and Drake Peratt each had two hits and an RBI for Centennial (5-0). Ryan McCuskey and Nate Gibbons contributed doubles to the Charger attack.

Heritage 15, Oakwood 1. HILARY SMITH went the distance for the visiting Hawks, allowing three hits with 12 strikeouts in five innings.

Villa Grove 7, Unity 5. Winning pitcher LIZZY SMITH struck out 13 and recorded three hits to power the host Blue Devils. LACY PRUITT homered for the Rockets.

Monday's highlights: Robinson powers Danville
