BISMARCK – Ryan Watson went 2 for 4 and drove in six runs for Danville in its 11-1 nonconference baseball victory against Bismarck-Henning on Friday.
Chuckie Robinson (2 for 3) homered for the Vikings.
M-S blanks Monticello. Josh Raymond doubled and tripled for host Mahomet-Seymour in its 17-0 baseball victory.
Bensyl powers SJ-O. Andy Bensyl had a double and two RBI for St. Joseph-Ogden in its 6-3 baseball victory against Armstrong-Potomac.
ST. JOSEPH – Blake Hoveln had three hits and scored three times to lead St. Joseph-Ogden to a wild 13-12 victory against Watseka in prep baseball Thursday.
The win was No. 100 for Spartans coach Brad Allen.
Watseka scored six runs in the top of the sixth to take a 12-9 lead. But the Spartans rallied for four runs in the bottom half to go in front.
St. Thomas More 6, Centennial 1. Tyler Sullivan had two hits and Zach Johnson pitched a one-hitter for the visiting Sabers.
TUSCOLA – Kelsey Cleland recorded a perfect game for Tuscola in its 19-0 softball victory against Shiloh on Wednesday.
Cleland (1-1), who struck out five, did not allow a hit in five innings.
The Warriors were led by Samantha Ledbetter, who had seven RBI. Ledbetter went 3 for 4, with a grand slam, solo home run and double. Lexi Rogers had two doubles and three RBI for Tuscola, which collected 11 hits. Brittany Foy had a two-run double.
BROADLANDS – Maddy Stutsman scored seven of her game-high 25 points in overtime to lift Salt Fork to a 55-52 victory against Shiloh in a Class 1A regional title girls' basketball game Thursday night.
Jess Richardson of Shiloh hit a three-pointer as time expired in regulation to send the game to OT.
Salt Fork (20-12), which has won 13 of its last 15 games, ended a three-game losing streak to Shiloh that began last season. It took a rally to do it.
Rubarts, Panthers reach title game
CHAMPAIGN – Miranda Becker's contributions in the scorebook appear minimal compared to St. Thomas More teammates Gina Hinders and Maggie Fitzgerald.
Hinders made 10 of 14 shots and scored a game-high 20 points Thursday night as the Sabers overpowered Urbana Uni High 65-36 to earn a berth in Saturday's 1 p.m. Class 2A regional title game at home against Sangamon Valley Conference rival Paxton-Buckley-Loda. Fitzgerald added 15 points.

DeLAND – When three of the four teams scheduled to play games Wednesday at Mount Pulaski's Class 1A regional said they'd be there, the fourth school was the odd team out.
DeLand-Weldon took a forfeit loss because it followed its school district policy. "If we're not in school, we can't do anything at night," said Russ Corey, D-W's principal and girls' basketball coach.
Seniority can have its privileges, once you establish it.
High schools throughout central Illinois have a wide degree of variation on what constitutes a senior citizen and how much – if any – of a break they will receive on their ticket price for admission to athletic events.
The range is from free to being charged full price and from 52 years of age up to 65 to receive a discounted price, when available.
Urbana Uni High is one school where senior citizens receive no special privileges when it comes to paying.
GIBSON CITY – Judah Christian's best girls' basketball season ever still is getting better.
With Uzuri Williams and Alyssa Chambers combining to score all but two of the Tribe's points Wednesday night, Judah stunned top-seeded LeRoy 42-38 in the semifinals of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's Class 1A regional tournament.
The win raised the school's single-season record total to 21 and advances it into Friday's regional championship game against second-seeded Fisher.
VILLA GROVE GIRLS' BASKETBALL
Senior Night was a Special Night as the Blue Devils handed Shiloh its first loss after 27 consecutive wins, 50-47, in overtime. Freshmen teamed up to score 38 of the points.
UNITY BOYS' BASKETBALL
The Rockets reached the championship game of the Okaw Valley Conference Tournament, where they lost a four-point decision to state-ranked St. Teresa on the Bulldogs' court.
CENTENNIAL BOYS' BASKETBALL

Recent accomplishments: Won two events at the Big 12 meet, the 200- and 500-yard freestyles. He won the 200 free by more than four seconds.
