FITHIAN — Cameron Lee is the All-Star of the All-Stars.
The recent Oakwood High School graduate is well-credentialed.
Last weekend, he was the starting right tackle for the victorious East squad in its 24-23 victory in the Order of the Eastern Star game in Decatur.

Last year, schools such as Clinton, Danville, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, St. Thomas More and Tuscola were among the ones upset with the IHSA's postseason assignments, which are based on enrollments.

MONTICELLO — The Okaw Valley Conference will start its 87th year of competition in August.

MONTICELLO — Steve Schroeder's destination never will be defined by the boundaries of a cross-country course or a track oval.

Schroeder's start came while attending Monticello High School. He never wanted to be typecast into a particular category, such as "athlete."
Why: Guided the Sages to a third-place finish in the Class 1A state track and field meet. The school's first state trophy in the sport completed a bookend performance by the Sages. In the fall, Butler's boys' cross-country team also placed third at state.
