MAROA – Bethany Billman led Unity to a 25-19, 25-16 victory Tuesday night against St. Teresa in the Class 2A sectional semifinal with her team-high 10 kills, 17 digs and an ace.
TUSCOLA – Buoyed by a strong defensive effort, Warrensburg-Latham got off to a quick start and never let up in rolling past Tuscola 25-16, 25-15 in Class 1A sectional volleyball action Tuesday night.
The Cardinals jumped to early seven-point leads in each set, quickly dispatching a Tuscola team that had played a tough three-set match with them three weeks ago.

ST. JOSEPH – St. Thomas More's 28th volleyball victory was good enough for a first.
The Sabers captured the first regional volleyball title in school history Saturday afternoon, edging St. Joseph-Ogden by the closest possible margin 25-23, 25-23 in the championship match on the Spartans' court.

CHRISMAN – Molly Romine tallied 15 kills and 10 digs to help Tuscola upset Salt Fork to win the Class 1A Chrisman Regional 25-19, 25-20.
ST. JOSEPH – Throughout the high school volleyball season, St. Thomas More has had a good serving of competition.
CHRISMAN – A solid defensive effort helped Salt Fork knock off Heritage 25-22, 25-20 on Wednesday night in Class 1A volleyball regional action.
ARCOLA – Volleyball matches are structured such that each team has an identical amount of time to warm up.
It didn't work that way on Wednesday before Arthur played top-seeded Arcola in the semifinals of the Purple Riders' Class 1A regional tournament.
TOLONO – Volleyball players left the Rocket Center on Tuesday night knowing the score, but not who won.
At least, not who will ultimately win in life's biggest battles.
