VILLAGE OF SAVOY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Village of Savoy Zoning Board of Appeals has scheduled a public hearing to be held on Monday March 31, 2014. The hearing is set to begin at 7:00 P.M. at the Savoy Municipal Center, 611 N. Dunlap Avenue in Savoy, Illinois.
The Zoning Board of Appeals will hear a request by Bill Peifer of Champaign, IL. for a variance to Table A. Table of Area Height and Yard Regulations of the Village of Savoy Municipal Code Section 17.16.030 specifically asking for a 21% variance to the Minimum Lot Area Width of six (6) single family lots in the proposed Prairie Meadows III Subdivision. The petitioner is requesting a variance to allow a yard width of fifty-five feet. The required yard width is seventy feet.
Detailed information concerning the proposed variance will be available at the Savoy Municipal Center beginning Monday, March 24, 2014 during normal business hours.
The public is invited to attend the Public Hearing and provide written and or oral testimony on the proposal. Written comments may also be submitted to the office of the Village Clerk, Savoy Municipal Center at anytime prior to the hearing.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CHAMPAIGN-URBANA MASS TRANSIT DISTRICT (CUMTD), or DISTRICT, will be receiving sealed bids in accordance with the attached Request For Proposal at 1101 East University Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802-2009, until 3:30 P. M. Central Daylight Savings Time (CDST), March 18, 2014 for the following work:
Purchase and installation of two vehicle lifts and removal of two existing vehicle lifts.
The Bids will be directed to the attention of the CUMTD Director of Market Development at the address noted within the RFP. The Bids shall be securely sealed and marked plainly in bold letters “Bid for CUMTD Vehicle Lift Replacement.” The Bids will be opened publicly and promptly at the time noted herein and read aloud. Any bids received after the time and date noted herein will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder unopened.
The District, with concurrence of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), will award the bid to the most responsive and responsible bidder. Any contract resulting from these bids is subject to financial assistance contracts between the District and IDOT.
All bids and related documents will be subject to financial assistance contracts between the District, the FTA, and IDOT. All bidders must clearly certify that they are not an ineligible contractor as listed on the U. S. Comptroller General’s List of Ineligible Bidders or Contractors. The District reserves the right to accept any or any part or parts thereof or to reject any and all bids. Acceptance of any bid is subject to concurrence by IDOT. The District also hereby notifies bidders that they affirmatively ensure that all Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, as defined by the United States Government, are afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not knowingly discriminate against any bidder upon the grounds of gender, race, color or national origin in the consideration of award of the contract. The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Federal and State Equal Opportunity laws and regulations.
