The Thomasboro Fire Protection District (TFPD) will be accepting bids for addition of concrete to their lot on the east side and the south side of its fire station building.
This project will be done in two phases and in very close coordination with the fire chief to maintain accessibility to the building for emergency vehicles leaving the building and its responders arriving to the station for emergency calls.
Phase 1 will include concrete poured and related work on the south side of the fire station building from the west grass line to Church Street in Thomasboro and from the existing pad to Central Avenue in Thomasboro.
Phase 2 will include concrete poured and related work on the east side of the fire station building to Church Street in Thomasboro and from the existing pad to the northeast line, adjacent the Phase 1 concrete work.
Bids for the project will be accepted no later than May 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. The bids will be opened and discussed at that time. The Board may choose to table the matter for another date or award/reject the bids at that time.
All bids submitted will be inclusive of the work requested in both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
There will be a pre-bid meeting at the Thomasboro Fire Station, 101 N. Church Street, Thomasboro, Illinois on May 10, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. The Thomasboro Fire Protection Board of Trustees will meet with potential contractors to answer questions. The fire chief will also be available by phone and e-mail following the pre-bid meeting.
The contractor will meet with the fire chief to discuss timeline two (2) weeks prior to the start of the project.
This project will be performed at prevailing wage.
All contractors will be bonded and insured.
