PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Urbana Park District, Champaign County, Illinois (the “District”), will hold a public hearing on the 11th day of October, 2016, at 7:00 o’clock P.M. The hearing will be held at the Planning and Operations Facility, 1011 East Kerr Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell bonds of the District in the amount of $2,300,000 for the payment of land condemned or purchased for parks, for the building, maintaining, improving and protecting of the same and the existing land and facilities of the District and for the payment of the expenses incident thereto.

The Housing Authority of Champaign County (HACC) has opened the Housing Choice Voucher Program Wait List for persons who are involuntarily displaced from their permanent residence by a Federal, State or local governmental action in Champaign County, Illinois (October 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016) such as code enforcement, public improvements (not including a resident-caused code violation), or development program; or whose dwelling has been extensively damaged or destroyed as a result of a disaster declared or otherwise formally recognized pursuant to Federal disaster relief laws.

The wait list will be open from October 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. All applicants applying must meet the HACC’s criteria for eligibility for admission.
