NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS, ON A PROPOSED INTERIM DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE TO CREATE A SIX (6) MONTH MORATORIUM ON THE PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CB3, CENTRAL BUSINESS CAMPUSTOWN ZONING DISTRICT AND THE MFUNIV, MULTI-FAMILY UNIVERSITY ZONING DISTRICT AS DESCRIBED IN CHAPTER 37, ARTICLE VI OF THE CHAMPAIGN MUNICIPAL CODE.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that a public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Building, 102 North Neil Street, Champaign, Illinois, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. before the City Council, concerning a proposed Interim Development Ordinance (IDO) that would suspend the acceptance for processing of applications for Planned Developments in the CB3, Central Business Campustown Zoning District and the MFUniv, Multi-Family University Zoning District.
The proposed IDO will establish a moratorium for one hundred and eighty (180) days on the processing of applications for Planned Developments in the CB3, Central Business Campustown Zoning District and the MFUniv, Multi-Family University Zoning District while the City studies and considers various amendments to the Planned Development regulations. The areas affected by this proposed IDO include all property within the corporate limits of the City of Champaign with the zoning classification of CB3, Central Business Campustown Zoning District or MFUniv, Multi-Family University Zoning District as described by City Council approval of Council Bill 2016-211 on October 18, 2016. All interested persons are invited to attend and offer comments in favor of or against said IDO.
This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 37-758 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended.
In said public hearing, all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present their arguments for or against passage of an Ordinance enacting the aforesaid action.
