PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 3rd day of October, 2016, the Commissioners of the above District filed a Petition For Authority To Establish And Levy New Annual Maintenance Assessment And Approval Of New Annual Assessment Roll And To Establish Additional Assessment And For Approval Of Additional Assessment Roll with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Champaign County, Illinois.
That in their Petition, the Commissioners seek authority to establish and levy new increased annual maintenance assessments as to those lands within the District to provide funds for performance of recurring annual maintenance work on the drainage system and payment of annual administrative and overhead expenses. The total of the proposed new annual maintenance assessment roll is in the sum of $15,348.74. A copy of the proposed assessment roll has been filed with the Petition, and the Commissioners seek approval of the same. That, further, in their Petition, the Commissioners seek authority to establish and levy an additional assessment to pay for outstanding expenses of the District, the same being the final payment for construction work for the repair of District facilities and the payment of administrative expenses related to the approval of a new annual maintenance assessment roll and additional assessment roll, in the total sum of $12,240.00 to be payable within 90 days from the entry of any Order approving said additional assessment. A copy of the proposed additional assessment roll has been filed with the Petition, and the Commissioners seek approval of the same. The Commissioners further seek approval of the Current Financial Report which accompanies the Petition. No damages or compensation are proposed to be allowed.
Upon filing of the Petition, the same was presented to the Court, and by the Court set for hearing in Circuit Courtroom D, located at the Champaign County Courthouse, 101 E. Main St., Urbana, Illinois 61801, on the 22nd day of November, 2016, at the hour of 11:00 a.m., at which time and place all interested persons may appear and be heard upon all questions arising thereunder if they see fit to do so.
