Demolition & Site Clearance of

Sealed bids for the demolition and site clearance of 410 E. Church, Champaign, Illinois will be received in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Champaign at 102 N. Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820 until 8:30 a.m. prevailing time on December 8, 2014. Bids received by that time will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers, 102 N. Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820 on December 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. prevailing time.
The specifications, instructions to bidders, contract document and bid forms may be obtained at the Neighborhood Services Department, Code Compliance Division, 102 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820.
Each bidder shall submit a bid bond secured by a cashier’s or certified check made payable to the City of Champaign or by an insurance company licensed to do business within the State of Illinois, or a letter of Credit in a form approved by the City Attorney, attached to the bid documents in an amount of at least ten-percent (10%) of the bid.
Compliance with the City’s Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance and the Illinois Human Rights Act is required of the successful bidder. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Illinois Compiled Statutes, Chapter 820, Section 130/0.01 et seq., will be required.
The City of Champaign reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid or combination of a bid that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Champaign. The criteria, which will be used to select the lowest responsible bidder, are set forth in Section 12.5-37 of the Champaign Municipal Code and the Contract Documents.
