Notice is given that the DRAFT Active Choices: Champaign County Greenways and Trails Plan is available for a 30 day public review from Tuesday, November 19, 2013 to Wednesday, December 18, 2013. The plan can be found in the following locations:

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
1.1 PROJECT INFORMATION
A. Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders.
B. Project Identification: Student Services Center - Parkland College - Fixtures Furniture & Equipment.
1. Project Location: 2400 W. Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois.
C. Owner: The Parkland College Board of Trustees.
1. Owner's Representative: Mr. Jim Bustard, Director of Physical Plant, 2400 W. Bradley Avenue, Champaign, IL -61821, Telephone No. (217) 351-2211.
D. Architect: IGW Architecture (Isaksen Glerum Wachter LLC), 114 West Main Street, Urbana IL 61801, Telephone No. (217) 328-1391.
E. Project Description: Project consists of furnishing and installing Tables and Chairs/Seating from two manufacturers - OFS-Carolina and Coalesse on the first and second floors of the Student Services Center.
1. Project cost range is anticipated to be $250,000.00-$300,000.
F. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work:
1. Furniture Contract.
1.2 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
A. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
1. Bid Date: December 19, 2013.
2. Bid Time: 2:00 p.m. CST, local time.
3. Location: IGW Architecture, 114 West Main Street, Urbana IL 61801.
B. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
C. The Parkland College Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding and to accept the bids deemed most favorable to their interest, after all bids have been examined and evaluated.
1.3 BID SECURITY
A. A bid bond, bank draft, or certified check made payable to Parkland College, Champaign, Illinois in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid proposal shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will execute the Contract and proceed with the Work. Upon failure to do so, he/she shall forfeit the deposit or amount of bid bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or errors on the part of the Bidder will excuse the Bidder or entitle him/her to a return of the deposit or bid bond. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of 45 days after the date of opening thereof. The bid bonds or checks will, with the exception of those of the three lowest bidders, be returned seven days after the opening of bids and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned when the Contract is executed and bond provided.
1.4 PREBID MEETING
A. Prebid Meeting: There will be no Prebid Meeting. The bidders are asked to make arrangements with the Owners Representative to visit and examine the site.
A. Procurement and Contracting Documents will be available after December 05, 2013, from the Architect. Furniture Contractors may obtain a maximum of two copies of the Documents with a refundable deposit of $50.00 for each set for the purpose of bidding. Suppliers are encouraged to obtain plans through Furniture Contractors although additional sets will be available at the cost of printing. Furniture Contractors who do not submit a bid will forfeit their drawing deposit. Additional shipping charges will apply.
B. Return: The above deposit will be refunded upon the return of the bid documents in good condition within ten (10) days after bid opening date. The bid documents shall remain the property of the Owner. They shall not be returned with the proposals, but shall be returned under separate cover to the Architect/Engineer's office.
C. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine after December 05, 2013, at the location below:

1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION
A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time.
1.7 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work.
