NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE PLAN COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS AND CHAMPAIGN CITY COUNCIL, ON A PROPOSED TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE, CHAPTER 37 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE. (Case PL14-0035)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that a public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Building, 102 North Neil Street, Champaign, Illinois, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. before the Plan Commission, concerning amendments to the Champaign Zoning Ordinance Sec. 37-35, Definitions – U; Sec. 37-65, Performance Standards in the MF2 District; and Sec. 37-36, Performance Standards in the MF3 District. The purpose of this text amendment is to add a definition to the Zoning Ordinance for the University District and to add language to the Ordinance which will limit the number of bedrooms in a dwelling unit in the University District to four (4). A copy of the detailed draft amendments is available in the City of Champaign Planning & Development Department for review.

This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 37-758 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended.

In said public hearing, all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present their arguments for or against passage of an Ordinance enacting the aforesaid action.
