The Village of Mahomet will receive sealed bids for the following project:

Taylor Field Backstop and Fencing Replacement

The project consists of supplying the labor, equipment, tools and materials necessary for the construction of approximately 500 linear feet of sports field backstop and perimeter fencing removal and replacement, and all appurtenances and miscellaneous items of construction, all in accordance with the Contract Documents.

Bids will be received until closing time of 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on June 16, 2015 at the Village of Mahomet, 503 Main St, Mahomet, IL. 61853. At that time all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids received after the closing time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids submitted by mail should be identified on the outside of the envelope as a bid for "Taylor Field Backstop and Fencing Replacement", and should be addressed to: Village of Mahomet, 503 E. Main St, Mahomet, IL. 61853.

Bid documents may be obtained from the Engineer’s company website at www. fehr-graham.com. Upon accessing the website, Bidders will see a link titled, “Obtain Bidding Documents”. Clicking this link will take Bidders directly to the Quest Network Service, and will display all projects available for bid through Fehr Graham. On this page, projects ads will be listed in the left-hand column with project numbers assigned by Quest displayed. Potential Bidders can enter the Quest project number #3935363 in the field provided to view the full ad for the Village of Mahomet Taylor Field Backstops and Fencing project, and download a complete set of bidding documents from this page for a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Proposals must be submitted on the Bid Form furnished and must be accompanied by an acceptable form of Proposal Guaranty in an amount of at least ten (10) percent of the amount of the Proposal, payable to the Village of Mahomet. The Proposal Guaranty shall be a certified check, bank draft, or an executed Bid Bond acceptable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Proposal is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and will file an acceptable Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance within twenty-one (21) days after the award of the Contract. A Proposal Guaranty consisting of a personal check will not be accepted. The Proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope.

A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this Project. Site visits can be scheduled with the Village of Mahomet Parks and Recreation Department.

Attention to Bidders is called to Sections of the Illinois Revised Statutes (1981) pertaining to the prevailing wage law. The awarding authority has established the rates for the various classifications of workmen and craftsmen on the proposed improvement and the Contractor will be required to comply with the requirement of this statute. A copy of the prevailing wage determination is included in Section 00825 of the project’s “Procedural Documents and Specifications” booklet.

The Village of Mahomet reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. A Bidder may withdraw from the possession of the Village, his or her submitted bid only prior to the previously-stated closing time for receipt of the bids. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids, for a period of forty-five (45) days.

The City of Urbana will receive proposals to clean up Category 3 water damage related to sewer cleaning activities. This will be a 2-year contract with the City. The proposal document may be obtained from the Urbana Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, IL, 61802.

Proposals will be received until 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2015. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive irregularities or technicalities.

The Housing Authority of Champaign County (HACC) has opened the Housing Choice Voucher Program Wait List for persons who are involuntarily displaced from their permanent residence by a Federal, State or local governmental action in Champaign County, Illinois (March 1, 2015 to May 31, 2015) such as code enforcement, public improvements (not including a resident-caused code violation), or development program; or whose dwelling has been extensively damaged or destroyed as a result of a disaster declared or otherwise formally recognized pursuant to Federal disaster relief laws.

The wait list will be open from June 1, 2015 to June 12, 2015. All applicants applying must meet the HACC’s criteria for eligibility for admission.
