TIRE LEASING CONTRACT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CHAMPAIGN-URBANA MASS TRANSIT DISTRICT (CUMTD) or DISTRICT, will be receiving sealed bids for the Tire Leasing Contract at 1101 E. University Ave., Urbana, IL 61802, until 2:00PM CST WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2017. Bids should be directed to the attention of the CUMTD Maintenance Director at the address noted herein. Bids shall be securely sealed and marked plainly in bold letters “IFB 17-013 BID FOR TIRE LEASING CONTRACT”. Any bids received after the time and date noted herein will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder unopened.

The scope of this project includes leasing of tires to the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District’s 111 bus fleet for a period of three years with two one-year renewal options.

The District will award the bid to the lowest, most responsive and responsible single bidder. Any contract resulting from these bids is subject to financial assistance contracts between the District, the FTA and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). All bidders must clearly certify they are not an ineligible contractor as listed on the U. S. Comptroller General’s List of Ineligible Contractors. The District reserves the right to accept any or any part or parts thereof or to reject any and all bids. Acceptance of any bids may be subject to concurrence by the IDOT and the FTA.

The District also hereby notifies bidders they affirmatively ensure all Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), as defined by the United States Government, are afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not knowingly discriminate against any bidder upon the grounds of gender, race, color or national origin in the consideration of award of the contract. The bidder will be required to comply with all applicable Federal and State Equal Opportunity laws and regulations.
