Public Notice

The City of Danville will host a public hearing to receive citizen input concerning the City’s formulation of a Substantial Amendment to its 2015 Annual Action Plan for Community Development Activities. The Amendment proposes to decrease the allocation amount by $66,429.70 for Vermilion Heights Neighborhood Housing Rehabilitation activity reducing the allocation to $33,570.30 due to a lack of qualified projects for this activity. The amendment would transfer the $66,429.70 to the existing activity titled Neighborhood Impact Program, which provides for roof replacements on eligible households. This Plan on housing and community development activities describes the City’s design for utilization of federal funds administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development identified under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Community Development Staff will be available to answer questions concerning past programs and current plans. Suggestions and concerns will be recorded and considered in the formulation of this Plan Amendment. The Plan addresses activities directed at housing for low and moderate income families, homelessness, housing for special needs populations, infrastructure supporting neighborhoods, and economic development and job creation. More information on the subject can be obtained by contacting the Department of Urban Services, Community Development Division at 217 431-2286 weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or by visiting the Department’s offices at 1155 E Voorhees St Danville, IL during those same times.
