The Champaign Park District is requesting sealed bids for the Purchase of LED Park Light Fixtures. Bid documents and technical specifications are available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the following locations:

Sealed bids are due to Bret Johnson, Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor, Champaign Park District, 706 Kenwood Road, Champaign, Illinois, 61821 by 2:00 p.m. on December 21, 2016 at which time said bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all irregularities and select the bid that is in the best interests of the Park District.
All bidders shall comply with the provisions of the Affirmative Action Ordinance of the Champaign Park District and must insure that any subcontractor used shall also comply therewith. Further, all bidders shall comply with all Federal, State, and local statutory requirements pertaining to prevailing wages, Illinois Fair Employment Act, equal opportunity regulations, and any other State or Federal aid regulations applicable to the contract. All bidders are notified that the Park District will affirmatively assure that the contract will be awarded without discrimination on the grounds of race, color or national origin.

Contractor applications for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool may be obtained at the Neighborhood Services Department, 102 N. Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820. They can also be sent electronically by sending a request to Jean.Algee@champaignil.gov
Compliance with the City’s Bristol Place Demolition Policy, Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance, and the Illinois Human Rights Act is required of the successful bidder. Compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage Acts will be required.
Contractors desiring to bid on the next round of Bristol Place demolitions must submit their application for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool to the City of Champaign, Neighborhood Services Department (102 North Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820) no later than 4 p.m., December 19, 2016. All contractors that meet the requirements and are approved for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool will be invited to bid on the upcoming Bristol Place demolitions. The City estimates four to eight bid packages will be available to those approved in the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool on or about January 9, 2016. Bids will not be considered by any contractor not approved in the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool. Once the City notifies all approved contractors in the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool of the bids being available, the City of Champaign reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid or combination of a bid that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Champaign. The criteria, which will be used to select the lowest responsible bidder, are set forth in Section 12.5-37 of the Champaign Municipal Code and the Contract Documents.
