NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that a public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Building, 102 North Neil Street, Champaign, Illinois, on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. before the City Council on a right-of-way vacation for an alley at the north east corner of First Street and University Avenue (Case PL19-0012), which can be described more specifically as:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

North – South Alley located along the East Line of Lot 101 of Pride's Replat in the City of Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois

A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 19 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, City of Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois, being more particularly described as follows, with bearings based on Illinois State Plane (East) datum:

Commencing at the Northwest corner of lot 101 of Pride's Replat in the City of Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois recorded as Document 2007R00998 in the Office of the Recorder for Champaign County Illinois, said corner also being the Northwest corner of Lot 6 of Assessor's Subdivision of Lots 116, 117, and 118 in Master in Chancery's Subdivision of the North Half of Lot 2 of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 19 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian in the City of Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois recorded in Deed Record 35 at Page 68 in said Recorder's Office; thence North 89° 33' 14" East 54.0 feet along the North line of said Lots 101 and 6 and the South line of a 16.5 foot wide Public Alley to the Northwest corner of a 12 foot wide Public Alley and the True Point of Beginning; thence continue North 89° 33' 14" East 12.0 feet along the North line of said 12 foot wide Public Alley and the South line of said 16.5 foot wide Public Alley to the Northeast corner of said 12 foot wide Public Alley; thence South 00° 09' 43" East 52.0 feet along the East line of said 12 foot wide Public Alley to the Southeast corner of said 12 foot wide Public Alley; thence South 89° 33' 14" West 12.00 feet along the South line of said 12 foot wide Public Alley to the Southwest corner of said 12 foot wide Public Alley; thence North 00° 09' 43" West 52.0 feet along the West line of said 12 foot wide Public Alley to the True Point of Beginning, encompassing 624 square feet, more or less.

This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 37-758 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended and State Statue.

In said public hearing; all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present their arguments for or against passage of an Ordinance enacting the aforesaid right-of-way vacations.
