Please be advised that Ameren Illinois will trim trees and other vegetation in and around the town(s) of Unincorporated Champaign County and Urbana, Illinois. Our qualified utility arborists will trim trees and vegetation that could interfere with electric lines that run from pole to pole and elsewhere. This work is necessary in order to minimize the likelihood of outages and safety hazards. There is no charge to you for this service.

A. Your firm is invited to submit a bid on the forms furnished in the documents in a sealed envelope addressed to the Owner for the Monticello High School and Washington Elementary School Additions and Renovations located at the above address before 4:00 pm local standard time on the 11th day of April 2019, for:

B. Project: BLDD 186EX27.400 Monticello CUSD #25 Additions and Renovations

C. Project Description: Bid Package (1-5) and (7-17) for a 1 story classroom addition and gymnasium/locker room addition along with misc. interior renovations to the Washington Elementary School and High School classroom and mechanical room additions along misc. interior renovations.

D. Copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained from Decatur Blueprint, 230 West Wood, Decatur, IL 62523, (217) 423-7589, by depositing $200 per set. Non-Cash Security Method for Request of Documents will be accepted on this project. Checks shall be made payable to Monticello CUSD#25. Electronic Bid Documents are available for free download to all bidders of the divisions of work being bid.

E. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the project site, at 3:00pm on Monday April 1st, 2019. Persons interested in bidding the project shall meet in front of the west entry to the High School, a pre-bid meeting and walk through will be conducted from there. It is highly recommended that you attend the walk through and review the existing building and site conditions.

F. Bidders will be required to provide a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of their Bid.

G. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, and to waive informalities in the bidding.

H. Successful bidders shall conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission.

I. Attention is called to the provisions of Equal Employment Opportunity.

J. All employees of contractors awarded a bid with the District , who have direct daily onsite contact, shall authorize as a condition of employment on the Districts project, a finger-print based criminal history records check to determine if such employee has been convicted of certain criminal, drug or felony offenses within the last seven years of employment. The background check will be conducted by an agent of the School District, the expense of conducting said checks will be transferred to the contractor via deductive contract adjustments at the closure of the project.

J. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
