THE CITY OF DANVILLE, ILLINOIS will receive sealed bids for the following project:

CRIS Healthy Aging Center Accessible Entrance

The project consists of modifications to three front entrance doors including automatic openers and handicap switch operators, removal and replacement of entry stair handrails and removal and replacement of an existing sidewalk panel.

Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m., central standard time on February 12, 2015 at the office of the DANVILLE CITY CLERK, 17 WEST MAIN STREET, DANVILLE, ILLINOIS 61832. At that time all bids will be publicly read aloud. Bids received after time of day listed above on the day listed above, will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids submitted by mail should be identified on the outside of the envelope as a bid for CRIS Accessible Entrance, and should be addressed to: DANVILLE CITY CLERK , 17 WEST MAIN STREET, DANVILLE, ILLINOIS 61832.

All bidders are advised that the Contractor shall comply with the DAVIS BACON ACT, (40 USC 276a to a-7), as supplemented by U.S. Department of Labor Regulations (29 CFR, Part 5). Pursuant to the provisions of the conditions of the grant providing a portion of the funding for the Project, all contractors and subcontractors on this project shall pay all employees on this Project at the appropriate prevailing Davis-Bacon rates detailed in the Bid Documents.

The Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the minimum wages specified in a Prevailing Wage Determination made by the U. S. Secretary of Labor. In addition, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall be required to pay wages not less often than once per week.

Attention of the Bidder is also called to provisions of the "Fair Employment Practices Act" of the State of Illinois, and particularly to the provisions of Section 4 thereof. The Contract to be entered into shall be conditioned as provided by law.

Attention to Bidders is called to provisions of the "Preference to Citizens on Public Works Projects Act", (Il. Rev. ch.8, § 269-275).

Pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, §11-42.1-11, the Owner may not enter into a contract for goods or services with individuals or entities that are delinquent in the payment of any tax administered by the Illinois Department of Revenue. Before awarding a contract, the City must obtain under oath from the individuals or entities that no such taxes are delinquent.

DANVILLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, DANVILLE, ILLINOIS reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of DANVILLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT within a period of sixty (60) days.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The URBANA & CHAMPAIGN SANITARY DISTRICT will receive sealed bids for the FY15 Pump Station Cathodic Protection Project. Bids will be received until closing time of 3:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the offices of the Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District, 1100 E. University Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. Bids submitted by mail should be identified on the outside of the envelope as a bid for the FY15 Pump Station Cathodic Protection Project, and should be addressed to: Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District, P.O. Box 669, Urbana, IL 61803-0669.

The project includes providing all labor, equipment, and materials to design, furnish, install, and commission five impressed current cathodic protection systems for five District pump stations.

A copy of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the District’s Director of Engineering Services at no charge.

A Pre-Bid Meeting and tour of the sites will be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Administration Building of the Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District, 1100 E. University Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. This meeting is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended that all Bidders visit the sites and familiarize themselves with the project area.

All bids will be opened and publicly read aloud during the course of business. Bids received after the closing time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.

Attention of the Bidders is called to Sections of the Illinois Revised Statutes (1981), as amended, pertaining to the prevailing wage law. The Contractor will be required to comply with the requirement of this statute. A copy of the current prevailing wage determination is enclosed in the bidding documents. Attention of the Bidders is directed to the fact that the District is not required to pay Federal Excise Tax or State Sales Tax
