Lombard, Mahomet, Illinois on Thursday, December 15, 2016.

Immediately following this Public Hearing, the Board of Commissioners will meet in its regularly scheduled monthly business meeting and will take action on this item: Review, Discuss, Amend as Necessary and Adopt the Final Appropriations Ordinance #16-4.

Invitation to Apply for the Bristol Place

Demolition Contractor Pool

Project Title: Demolition of Various Bristol Place Properties, Champaign, Illinois

Contractor applications for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool may be obtained at the Neighborhood Services Department, 102 N. Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820. They can also be sent electronically by sending a request to Jean.Algee@champaignil.gov

Compliance with the City’s Bristol Place Demolition Policy, Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance, and the Illinois Human Rights Act is required of the successful bidder. Compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage Acts will be required.

Contractors desiring to bid on the next round of Bristol Place demolitions must submit their application for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool to the City of Champaign, Neighborhood Services Department (102 North Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820) no later than 4 p.m., December 19, 2016. All contractors that meet the requirements and are approved for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool will be invited to bid on the upcoming Bristol Place demolitions. The City estimates four to eight bid packages will be available to those approved in the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool on or about January 9, 2016. Bids will not be considered by any contractor not approved in the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool. Once the City notifies all approved contractors in the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool of the bids being available, the City of Champaign reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid or combination of a bid that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Champaign. The criteria, which will be used to select the lowest responsible bidder, are set forth in Section 12.5-37 of the Champaign Municipal Code and the Contract Documents.
