The Village of Roberts is inviting sealed Bid Proposals from interested and qualified parties for the Village of Roberts Gym Parking Lot South. Sealed BIDS will be received by the Office of the Engineer at 301 W. Washington Street, Pontiac, IL 61764 until May 1, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. and will be publicly opened and read aloud on May 1, 2017 at 7:15 P.M. at the Village Hall, 118 West Weldon Street, Roberts, IL 60962.

The description of the project is as follows:

Base Bid: This work generally consists of preparing the existing gravel parking area by grading to ensure positive drainage, preparation and compaction of the base, installation of the prime coat, base course, and surface to include any required butt joints as shown in Exhibit 1 and detailed in the bid documents for the project.

Additive Alternate Bid #1- This work generally consists of the removal and replacement of 700 SF of existing concrete sidewalk.

Additive Alternate Bid #2 This work generally consists of the removal and replacement of 135 SY of driveway apron asphalt.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the following location:

Each Bid Proposal shall contain the name of every person or firm interested in the same and shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, bid bond or cashier’s check payable to the order of the Treasurer of the Village of Roberts in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid price.

Contractor’s Bid shall remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the date Bids are due.

Contractor shall provide an Insurance Certificate, Performance and Payment Bonds to the owner prior to the work. The Contractor shall pay all workers on the project the current prevailing wage rates for the various trades for the county within which the work is being performed. Rates shall be as determined by Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et. seq.).

The Village of Roberts reserves the right to reject all bids and waive or not waive any informality in the bids.

Unless all bids are rejected, award shall be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder of the awarded bid as chosen by the owner.
