Notice is hereby given of the death of the above-named decedent who resided at Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois, and that Letters of Office as Independent Executor were issued in the Circuit Court of Vermilion County, Illinois, Probate Division, on the 4th day of October, 2018, to Douglas M. Devore, whose address is 350 Grove St., Sierra Madre, CA 91024 and whose attorney is Thomas B. Meyer, Acton & Snyder, LLP, 11 E. North Street, Danville, Illinois 61832.

Claims against the estate may be filed with the Court in the Office of the Clerk, First Floor, in the Vermilion County Courthouse at Danville, Illinois, or with the representative, or both, within six (6) months from the date of the first publication of this notice. Copies of a claim filed with the Court in the Office of the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the aforesaid attorney of the representative within ten (10) days after it has been filed. In the case of creditors of the decedent whose names and post office addresses are known to or are reasonably ascertainable by the personal representative and who have received a copy of this death notice by mail or delivery, said creditors must file their claims within three (3) months from the date of mailing or delivery of this Notice, or within the aforesaid six (6) month period, whichever is later. Any claims not filed within the applicable time periods stated herein are barred.

Notice is given to DAWN DUERFELDT, who is an heir or legatee in the above proceeding to probate a will and whose name or address is not stated in the Petition to Admit the Will to Probate, that an Order was entered by the Court on October 4, 2018, admitting the Will to probate.

Within 42 days after the effective date of the original Order of Admission you may file a petition with the Court to require proof of the Will by testimony of the witnesses to the Will in open Court or other evidence, as provided in Section 6-21 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/6-21).

You also have the right under Section 8-1 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/8- 1) to contest the validity of the Will by filing a petition with the Court within 6 months after admission of the Will to probate.

DRAINAGE NOTICE

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 26th day of September, 2018, the Commissioners of DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE TOWN OF STANTON, in the County of Champaign and State of Illinois, filed their Amended Petition For Authority To Establish Corrected Annual Maintenance Assessments and For Approval of Corrected Annual Maintenance Assessment Roll and to Re-Approve Prior Assessment Roll, and their Motion To Withdraw Motion To Amend Petition, with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Champaign County, Illinois.

That in their Amended Petition, the Commissioners state that they previously established an annual maintenance assessment roll at the rate of $10.00 per acre for a total assessment of $ 20,295.20. Further, the Commissioners request that these assessments be confirmed, and, further, state that it is necessary to make certain corrections to the previously established assessment roll, and to approve a corrected assessment roll at the same rate as before, the same being $10.00 per acre, for a new lower total corrected assessment of $20,203.10. Said new corrected assessments and assessment roll shall be for the purpose of providing funds for performance of recurring annual maintenance work on the drainage system and payment of annual administrative and overhead expenses. A copy of the proposed corrected assessment roll has been filed with the Amended Petition, and the Commissioners seek approval of the same. The Commissioners further seek approval of the Current Financial Report which accompanies the Amended Petition. No damages or compensation are proposed to be allowed.

Upon filing of the Motion to Withdraw Motion and Amended Petition, the same were presented to the Court, and by the Court set for hearing in Circuit Courtroom D, located at the Champaign County Courthouse, 101 E. Main St., Urbana, Illinois 61801, on the 6th day of November, 2018, at the hour of 11:00 a.m., at which time and place all interested persons may appear and be heard upon all questions of benefits, damages, and compensation, if they see fit to do so.

East Central Illinois Community Action Agency (ECICAA) is now accepting bids for refrigerator/freezers to be used for the weatherization of approximately 20 homes during a one-year period beginning July 1, 2019 and concluding June 30, 2020. All bids must be submitted using the ECICAA bid packet and must be marked “SEALED BID”. Bid packets will be issued to any vendor who requests one in writing from ECICAA.
