Notice of Potential Refund to the Gas Patrons of

the former Central Illinois Light Company d/b/a AmerenCILCO

n/k/a Ameren Illinois Company Rate II

Service Territory:

If you were a Rider S customer ( Rider S customers are also described as PGA or sales customers and are often residential and small commercial customers) or a Rider T (transportation) customer taking service from Central Illinois Light Company d/b/a AmerenCILCO, now Ameren Illinois Company - Rate Zone II, during the period from November 2006 and prior to April 2009 (the Overcharge Period), you may be entitled to a refund pursuant to the terms and conditions of a Final Order entered on August 5, 2014, by the Illinois Commerce Commission in Docket No. 14-0219. A customer, in order to be eligible, is required to provide a completed claim form and a copy of a past bill for each month during the Overcharge Period for which it seeks a refund showing that it was a customer of record during the Overcharge Period. The customer will need to provide a copy of each monthly bill for each month as part of the claim. Ameren Illinois will, upon receipt of these claims, determine if the billing month(s) provided were subject to a refund, and the amount of the refund. Ameren Illinois will then advise the customer in writing of the status of the claim. If the claim is denied or lacks documentation, then the customer may have the opportunity to provide additional facts for consideration. Once a claim is approved a refund check shall be provided to the customer or a credit applied to the customer’s active account. A copy of the Illinois Commerce Commission's Final Order in Docket No. 14-0219 can be accessed through the e-Docket feature on the Illinois Commerce Commission home page at http://www.icc.illinois.gov. Type the Docket No. (14-0219) in the box provided and click the “Search” button, then click on the “Documents” tab to gain access to all documents filed in the case, including the Final Order.
